The private terrace of the Terrace Suite at Hammamhane — two deck chairs, a small olive tree, rooftops of Beyoğlu stretching west to the Galata Tower.

Terrace Suite

40 m² · up to 2 guests · 1 walk-in bath

A room with an outdoor room

A private terrace looking out across the rooftops to Galata.

The Terrace Suite is the room people come back for. Forty square metres indoors, a further twenty outside on the private terrace — a corner of the Beyoğlu rooftop with a low parapet wall, two deck chairs, a small olive tree in a clay pot, and a view that runs west across the antique-shop quarter to the silhouette of the Galata Tower above the trees. In the morning the light is on the wall. In the evening the light is on you.

Indoors, the suite is laid out as one open room with the bed at one end and the kitchenette at the other, divided by an L-shaped sofa that you can sit on facing either side. The bathroom is walk-in, the marble shower large enough for the rain head it carries, the brass fittings the same as in the rest of the building.

The kitchenette is full — induction hob, espresso machine, a small dishwasher, enough storage for a real breakfast — but the truth is most guests cook one breakfast here and then eat the rest on the terrace. The terrace is the room. Even the kitchen agrees.

It is the suite for couples on a slow week, or for the second visit when you already know Beyoğlu and want to spend more of the trip not leaving the building. We add tea and simit to the terrace at sunset on Sunday for guests who book direct; it has become a small Hammamhane ritual.

Wellness privilege: 10% off at Çukurcuma Hamamı 1831, included for direct-book guests of the suite.
